Job Title:         Configuration Management Engineer

Location:         Beijing, China




RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be a member of the Research & Development group at BEA, and the software configuration management system, build environments and interact with source code repositroies. This position requires a pserson who can be working with multiple technologies; as well as a quick learner, with the analytical skills to understand current processes and recognize improvements. Specific duties include:  

·         Maintain and enhance the software configuration management system.

·         Satisfy requests from various engineering teams effectively

·         Administrate the tools used in building and release process

·         Learn new technologies.  

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:         BS or MS in Computer Science or related field of education

Qualifications:

·         Expert of configuration management and full lifecycle of software product development

·         3+ years of experience in software development environment. Client/Server environment programming experience is a plus.

·         Strong Java program development skills (2-4 years+) based on Unix/Windows. Master the development tookits, including ANT, Make, debug tools etc.

·         Hands on Shell/Perl/PHP programming experience(2 year+).

·         Strong technical background on multiple platforms, e.g. AIX, SUN Solaris, HP_UX, Red Hat, Red Flag, Windows systems, etc. Understanding the difference and can do basic system administration.

·         Thorough understanding of source branch and merge techniques is required

·         Strong technical communication skills, ability to communicate with engineering community with both English (CET-6 is preferred) and Chinese effectively.

·         Good interpersonal skills, good team player.

·         Ability to prioritize tasks



Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with Apache httpd server and mysql database

·         Demonstrated experience with software configuration management tools (Perforce is preferred).

·         Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in complicated software environment
