Chinese Problems in KDE 3.03

I have installed KDE 3.03 for Makdrake 8.2 for a while, and satisfied with it to some extent. Now the only problem nasty is that Chinese can not be displayed correctly in some menus and dialogues(e.g., in Panel Options and Import Themes). I remembered roughly there was no problem when KDE 3.0 installed in my computer.  Does anyone have encountered the same problems as those ?
