Miklós Vajna has announced the second pre-release of Frugalware Linux 0.8: "The Frugalware Developer Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Frugalware 0.8pre2, the second technical preview of the upcoming 0.8 stable release. A short and incomplete list of changes since 0.8pre1: support for executing hooks inside the package manager - e.g. after a successful system upgrade; improved blacklisting support for kernel modules. Package updates: Xfce 4.4.2 - with bug fixes and translations; OpenOffice.org 2.3.1 - with security and bug fixes; Tcl and Tk 8.5 - with support for anti-aliased fonts; Octave 3.0.0 - compatibility with Matlab graphics is much better now; updated encryption libs - gnutls 2.2 and libgcrypt 1.4."
