还记得Mark Shuttleworth说在六月第一个星期会发布Ubuntu便携式电脑的操作系统Ubuntu Netbook Remix,由于当时DELL和Ubuntu合作，而DELL又发布便携式电脑，所以当时猜想很可能第一个推出Ubuntu Netbook Remix的是DELL电脑！(而且之前DELL已经推出了Ubuntu系统的笔记本电脑)，如今人们更关注的是Ubuntu Netbook Remix，究竟是怎样的，2008年06月03日在台湾的Computex上终于展出了Ubuntu Netbook Remix系统，这个让人期盼很久的OS终于出现露出庐山真面貌！

据Ubuntu官方网介绍，


 The remix is based on the standard Ubuntu Desktop Edition but with a launcher that allows users to get on-line more quickly and have faster access to their favourite applications

Ubuntu Netbook Remix目前官方还没有提供下载，相信很快了！而且由于Ubuntu一直和Intel合作，这个系统又是专门为Intel Atom处理器打造的，所以安常理应该可以安装在同样为Intel Atom的便携式的电脑！目前采用该Intel Atom处理器的有：

微星： Wind Notebook 
Acer:Acer Aspire One 
华硕:： Eee PC 900
